==================
Story
==================

The Grinch seeks to steal Christmas from Arlia Village - a locale from a jRPG called Star Ocean 2!
(a remake was released November 2023, and it's 10/10 Steam-good!). This has homages to other IP's
such as Doom, as well - so you could say it's a four-in-one crossover (even a five-in-one)!

Anyway, as Ranger comes to think of it - the Grinch looks kinda like an Archvile. And seeing that
he's up to no good, it's time to put a stop to his evil plans - whatever that entails!

==================
Info
==================

Unzip this straight into your Quake directory - the mod folder sits straight inside the zip.
Load up the 'grinch' mod as you would any other mod. It comes bundled with a start map as well
to keep things simple. Should work with all modern source ports.

BUILD TIME - one week
AUTHOR - Shades, aka Shadesman or Shadesmaster
E-MAIL - ShadesSBU@gmail.com

Map source as well as the texture wad is included - use bits and pieces of this as prefabs
if you wish! If you use larger chunks of the level (as I myself reused my own village proper),
be sure to give credit.

Version 1.1 Fixes
==================

- The Grinch fight is less tanky. The new HP values are as follows:
     Hard and Nightmare - reduced from 7500 to 5000
     Medium - reduced from 5000 to 3750
     Easy - stays the same at 2500, but see below
- The pain thresholds for the shambler spawns (none in easy) have thus been lowered, as well.
- The Megahealth in the final Grinch fight now respawns on easy skill as well as nightmare.
     Prior, it respawned on nightmare only.
- The trigger_look secret works fully as intended, now. So now there are three secrets, here.
     (Steven Seagal 'is waiting' was the key for the secret trigger to be set to active, heh)
- Fixed a typo in one of the story triggers.
- Added an actual 'Rena Lanford' NPC in her house, a reskin of a Fantasy Quake model.
     Looks true to the source material, I must say!
- Added a few more clip brushes near the start.
- Removed extraneous save and config files.
