Castle Anachron

This map started as an exploration of adapting Half-Life maps into Quake. I copied a room from
Questionable Ethics by hand and grew it from there. 
I decided on the computer-y and castle-y theme because it allows more narrative justification 
for things like moving platforms and teleporters, as well as really medieval-looking enemies like
Hellknights being in the same place as futuristic-looking Enforcers and Army grunts. Once I 
realized I wanted to stick to the techno-gothic theme, I came up with the name Castle Anachron
because of the word 'anachronistic'. 
I wanted to practice encorporating loops and recontextualization through key and gate placements
and respawning of enemies.
